Transverter 50 MHz - 144 MHz: project taken from RadioRivista. Transmitting part: includes the 2SC1972 power amplifier to have 10 Watt output. The 1N4001 diodes must be mounted in contact with the respective transistors for thermal compensation (in the photo you can clearly see the one on the 2N4427). T1 made with a ferroxcube toroidal core with an external diameter of approximately one centimeter: four turns between poles 3 and 4, eleven turns between poles 5 and 6 wound in the same direction with 0.25 mm wire while a single turn between poles 1 and 2 . Receiving part: BFY90 input with good sensitivity followed by a MAR3 as can be seen in the block diagram below. Unfortunately, there are no notes in the article regarding calibration, which requires a lot of patience and a good signal generator.
