Transverter 50 MHz - 144 MHz: project taken from CQelettronica. Transmitter part: 10 Watt output power. There are no particular construction difficulties: the 1N4007 diodes must be mounted on the bodies of the respective transistors to protect them from overtemperatures. In the absence of adequate instrumentation, compensators must be adjusted for maximum output power: in this regard there is the RF Meter output which, connected to a 100 mA instrument, indicates the output signal. Receiving part: the input circuit with the BF981 gives good sensitivity: here for calibration you need at least a 50 MHz signal generator and a little patience to adjust the different coils present.
